In-Kind Deck Replacement
Conservation Conditions of Approval, NACC #369
Pursuant to section 4.4.2 (B) of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations,Paul DeLuca,
property owner, filed for a Small Project Permit for work proposed at 164 Bridges Lane, North
Andover. Work involves the in-bind replacement of old boards, railings,posts and footings of an
existing deck. The existing 4"x4"posts and 8" concrete footings shall be removed and replaced with
6"x6" posts and 12" diameter sonotube footings at 48" depth. The footing of the post closest to the
Bordering Vegetated Wetland shall be replaced with a diamond pier footing to reduce ground
disturbance, as it is 48" from BVW. All work shall be located within an existing gravel area enclosed
by pressure treated timbers. Work shall be done by hand, and no dumpster shall be necessary. All
work shall take place within the 100-foot Buffer Zone,with the closest point of work consisting of
previously mentioned diamond pier footing, at —48' from BVW,with all other work outside of the
50-foot No Build Zone.
During the June 10, 2026 public meeting the North Andover Conservation Commission voted to

The project is approved only as it relates to the Conservation Commission and any a� nd (if
applicable) all other approvals should be obtained by the applicant/homeowner. The applicant is
responsible for determining properor boundaries.All work shall conform to the following:

1. A pre-work site inspection shall be scheduled with the Conservation Department and the
contractor to review project scope.
2. A post-work site inspection shall be scheduled with the Conservation Department to verify
compliance.
3. This permit shall expire one year from the date of issuance.
**The applicant, homeowner and their contractors are advised that NO other work on the property
is allowed under this permit. The NACC has jurisdiction over all of the wetlands and associated 100-Foot
buffer cones and 200 Riverfront Area to the Shawsheen River on site and any work that involves ground
disturbance or changing the current conditions in these areas Nvill require permitting with the NACC.This
includes,but are not limited to,house additions pools, patios,decks, sheds, fences,garden beds,landscaping
and bridge installation,tree or vegetation cutting;/pruning.These activities shall be held to the current
standards under the Bylaw and W13A.**
