Dear Ms. Enright,
I am writing in regard to the proposed development at 149 Main St & 14 2nd St. I live at 159 Main St,
which is a direct abutter to this property. I did receive a letter from Mr. Smolak and reached out to him to
schedule a walk-through of the site on 2/17 with the development team.
During this discussion, the developers' team stated that the property line between my home and the
abutting lot is the side of my house. Based on that information, their plan is to place the retaining wall
and the edge of the adjacent green space - 5ft from my home. However, the thickness of the wall is 2ft,
which will place the retaining wall and 6 ft fence 3 ft away from the entire first floor of my home.
Based on this disagreement on the property line, myself and the owners at 161 Main street are retaining
our own surveyor to identify the accurate property lines for 159 & 161 Main St. We are currently waiting
to hear back from several companies in order to schedule the survey as quickly as possible. We
respectfully request from the board the additional time required to complete this survey.
I am also attaching a few slides with photos of the site to further illustrate the layout of the existing
structures.
