Dear Mrs. Enright:
In accordance with Condition#35 of the Merrimack College Site Plan Review Notice of Decision issued on December 5, 2023,VHB
has reviewed the components of the Corner Development Project at Merrimack College site designed by VHB, located in the Town
of North Andover,and as documented in the "Corner Development Project at Merrimack College"approved Plans dated August 17,
2023, and revised through March 11, 2024,and Construction Documents("GMP/Permit Set") revised through June 5, 2026.
The work performed to date,as included in these documents,was found to the best of the Engineer's knowledge, information and
belief,to be substantially in conformance with the project documents.This finding was based on VHB's familiarity with the above-
noted drawings, review of shop drawings, routine site visits during construction,and visual inspection of the project site on June 25,
2026.
Additional minor modifications were proposed to extend the scope of work along Medina Drive to provide better pedestrian
connectivity between the Corner Development Project and the newly completed Lecture Hall, consisting of a new pedestrian
sidewalk along the west-south side of Medina Drive,additional planting and lighting enhancements,and reductions in existing
impervious areas.This expanded scope was submitted and approved administratively as a minor modification on April 13, 2026.
While the work performed is noted per this statement to be in conformance with the approved documents, it is understood that
the following work remains to be completed as part of the Corner Development Project prior to request for Release of the
Performance Bond,and will be subject to final punch list review(s)to confirm completion:
1. Expanded Medina Drive sidewalk and landscaping improvements approved as minor modification on April 13,2026
(Expected completion September 15, 2026)
2. Installation of granite furnishings and finishes at corner and central plazas
(Expected completion July 15, 2026)
3. Installation of two additional granite steps at existing Church steps
(Expected completion July 21, 2026)
4. Installation of permanent utility yard fence enclosure at Building 1
(Expected completion August 25, 2026)
5. Top course of pavement in Medina Drive and final pavement markings
(Expected completion August 14, 2026)
6. Completion of final sidewalk connection from corner plaza to Route 114 sidewalk
(Expected completion July 1, 2026)
7. Review and Completion of Final As-Builts
(Expected completion Fall 2026)
