Message Hello Mr. Chair and fellow board members,
It is apparent that the board's view is a reduction can't be
asked. We asked that the floor ratio, setbacks and height not
be granted. We are anticipating that you will not deny any of
these, even though it's a residential building that bisects two
different zonings.
I was unable to ask this due to time constraints. The majority of
the buildings in the historical and machine shop village are 3
stories with exception to the mill building between Stachey's
and Jaime's restaurants. The Avalon bay is also only 4 stories.
We ask if the residential guidelines will not be utilized then this
building should only be 4 stories to blend in with the existing
buildings and neighborhood. This may help preserve more
trees as well. We request this to be asked by the board to the
applicant. If the applicant states no or makes it economically
infeasible. We request the pro forma to be done.
I understand the concerns about going to court, but to ask to
remove 1 level and do a pro forma if needed is within our rights
as residents and abutters to make sure all avenues and
resources are pursued to make this a fair process.
We appreciate your time and efforts. We ask this to be
submitted as public record.
