Message Dear Chairman Lis:
I read the q&a about the previous Downtown Overlay
Subdistrict A Historic Mill Area. I do not believe the phrase,
"there are no current plans for this development" reduces the
representations made about the unit count. The important part
of Phase III was the unit count, not whether or not there was a
plan for development. In addition, the representation was very
specific- 89 units, not"about 280 units" or"about 90 units" or
713D". I assume many of the issues residents are providing
now as valid local concerns were also considered in the 2023
approval.
Are there cases I can read where a town zoning decision like
the 2023 one were made and then the number of units
increased dramatically via a 40B permit? I will ask about this
tonight during the public comments, but wanted to outline my
view and question on this item in advance. I realize this could
take some time to get an answer.
