Information Request for Zoning Board of Appeals
Dear Zoning Board of Appeals members:
Thank you for the opportunity to provide public comments at the most recent meeting.
I would like to request that the board create and maintain a list of the town's and developer's
project commitments in a written format. I believe putting the major commitments in writing
will help clarify each commitment.
A written list may also be a good tool for reference as the proceedings continue.
Below are two examples of commitments that have been made in hearings, where details about
the commitments and timing would be helpful to have in writing.
1. Town's commitment for Prescott Street repaving or resurfacing, sidewalk extension and
rebuild
• Budgeted total
• Date budget passed at town meeting
• Date work is scheduled to start/end
• Design plans
• Any developer funding request/contribution
2. Developer's commitment to do garage material testing and site soil testing
• Plan for building material and soil testing
• Date work will be completed
• Chain of custody for testing (or other info ensuring independent analysis)
• Results to be reported _weeks prior to ZBA vote
• If needed, plan for handling/remediation/compliance
