Prescott St Sidewalk to Nowhere ft of sidewalk is missing, measured using Mass
Mapper measurement tool.
-� • This is a crucial missing part of the sidewalk
G path to Rt 125. It is very hazardous for
pedestrians, especially during increased traffic,
at sunset (facing traffic going toward High St),
and at night and other low visibility conditions.

_ Rest of Prescott sidewalk not ADA compliant.
Route is used by NAHS students to walk
to/from NAHS.
New apartment buildings have led to more
traffic hazards for pedestrians. Distracted
drivers see pedestrians at the last second.
Town has identified this section as a problem
area for sidewalks as part of overall sidewalks
review. No concrete plans/diagrams or
timetable for new sidewalk.

At left, a view showing full Prescott St, the
missing sidewalk (red line), and proposed
project area using Mass Mapper.
• Using the Mass Mapper measuring tool, the
actual amount of missing sidewalk is approx.
700 feet. The length of Prescott St is approx.
2100 feet. This means at least 1/3 of Prescott
St has no sidewalk.
• Additionally, the street is in its worst
condition (erosion etc) in the area where
, - there is no sidewalk. This erosion has
narrowed the already narrow lanes of traffic
making it even more dangerous for
pedestrians.
