Regular Meeting & Hearing
The BOARD OF APPEALS held their regular meeting on Monday evening,
December 8, 1969 at 7:30 P.M. in the Town Office Building with the following
members present and voting: Arthur R. Drummqnd~ Chairman; Daniel T. O'Leary,
Secretary; Donald J. Scott, Donald J. Leonard and Assoc. Member James A.
Glynn, Jr. Member Philip Arsenault arrived later.
There were six people present for the meeting.
1. HEARING: Robert A. Koralishn.
Mr. 0'Learyread the legal notice in the appeal of Robert A. Koralishnwho
requested a variance under Section 6.33 of the Zoning By-Law so as to permit the
erection of a single family dwelling on the premises located at the east side of
Ferncroft Circle, known as Lot 20 Ferncroft Circle. He also read a letter from
the Building Inspector sayingthat this was a buildable lot and that a build~ug
permit could be issued upon application for one. A letter was received from the
Planning Board also stating that this was an approved lot on an approved sub-
division and that no Board of Appeals action is required.
Atty. Harold Morley~ Jr. represented the petitioner and explained that the road-
way continuing from the turnaround as shown on the subdivision plan would never
be hot-topped and finished, thereby leaving a fronrage of 52.~8 feet on this
particular lot and that the petitioner could possibly have difficulty when trans-
ferring the property at some later date. Carmen Struffolino has ne~t lot and
objected to granting this variance, there is no hardship involved.
Mr. Glynn made a motion to take the petition under advisement; seconded byMr.
Scott and voted unanimously. Mr. Scott then made a motion to request an opinion
from Town Counsel before making a decision; Mr. Glynn seconded the motion and
the vote was unanimous.

A letter was received from the Building Inspector with several recommendations
relative to the renewal of the earth ~em~val permit. Mr. Scott made a motion to
request a representative of Merrimack Materials to appear before the Board at the
next meeting on January 12, 1970 in order to discuss the amount of bond, length
of operation, possible changes in the requirements by the Board relative to the
bond and also the recommendations listed in the Building Inspector's letter.
Mr. O'Leary seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
BUDGET:
The Board discussed the budget requirements for the year 1970. Since the
clerk will be working on a full-time basis in 1970 for three departments; the
Board of Appeals, Planning Board and Build4ug Inspector; the salary will be
divided iu thirds and this Board's share will be $2020 for the year. They will
ask for $350 for expenses.
