Dear Sirs
The following petition was heard at a mating of the Planning Board on Monday
eveningst February 25, 1963 at the Tom Office Building. The decision was made
on Hardt = 1963. Members present and voting mares Janes M. Barman, Chairman;
Robert J: Burke, Secretary; Bvward L. Gilman and George Farley. Mr. Chepulis
was -unable to attend the meeting.
Kathleen Finck petitioned to amend the North Andover Zoning By-,Law by changing
from a Rural Residence District to an Industrial District, a parcel of land on
Turnpike; Street at the Middleton line, owned by Albert C. Day.
Atty. Ralph E. Finck represented the petitioner. Mr. Day was also present. $e
proposes building the Eastern Tanks Corporation there, if the area: is re—coned.
There were approximately 20 people present for the hearings of the evening.
Four abutters were recorded as opposed. Gathers present just questioned the
petitioners. The Ind.. Development Cos. and Brd. of Assessors were recorded in favor.
At the Planning Board meeting on March k, 1963, the Board voted on the petition.
Mr. Burke made a motion to APMO the petition, seconded by Mr. Gilman. The
vote was unanimous.
The reasons for approval are as followas
1. There is a great need for Industrial :Locations in this town .
2. This parcel of land is on a heavily travelled highway that does not lend
itself to residential development.
3. Thia area will require no cervices from the town of nth Andover.

The following petition vas heard at a .meeting of the Planning Board on I1e4ay
evening, February 25, 1963 at the Town Office Building. The decision rias
made on March 4, 1963. Members present and voting were: James M. Bannan,
Chairman; Robert J. Burks, Secretary; Bovard L. Gilman and George Farley.
Mr. Chepulis was unable to attend the meeting.
The Forth Andover Planing Board petitioned to amend the Borth Andover
By-Law by changing from. Rural. Residence District to Industrial District a
parcel of land containing approx. SO acres, on Turnpike Street near the
Middleton line.
The Industrial Development Cmdttee are in conjmctica with the planning
Board for this Industrial park. There was no opposition.
At tbs Planning Board meeting an March Q, 1963s, the Berard voted an the petition..
Mr. Burke made a motion to APPROVZ the petition, seconded by fir. Gilman. The
vote,was unanimous.
The reasons for approval ars as follms:
1. There is an existing need in the town of North .Andover for ars 1Udsastr Al *I'"-
2. The Planning Board in cooperation with the North Andover Industrial Develop-
ment Committee believe this is one of the most suitable locations in to= for
the4evelopment of light industry.
