Dear Sirs
The Planning Board held a Special Meeting and. Hearing on Monday evening,
October 30, 1967 at 7200 F.M, at the Worth Andover High School. Auditorium.
The following Members were present and votings William Chepulis, Jr.,
Chairman; Robert J. Burke, Vice Chairman; Wimimnb6s. James M. Bauman and
George B. Farley. Mr. Gilman could not attend due to illness.
There were I# people present for the hearing. The hearing was held upon
the proposal by NORMAN E. LENTZ to amend the North Andover Zoning By-Law
as followsa
"To mend Section /x..73 of the Zoning By-Law by adding the following
paragraphs
When in or abutting a residential none, the minimum lot area per dwelling
unit shall be the larger of 3,500 square feet or 113 of the minimum. lot
area required for a single family dwelling or, if sewerage is not available,
equal to the minimum lot area required for a single family dwelling.*
Mr. Lentz spoke on his own behalf. Several people spoke in opposition.
This meeting was held fust prior to a Special Town Meeting which included
this particular Article in the Warrant. The Board voted imediate4 on the
petition in order to present their recommendations to the Town Meeting,
Mr. Burke made a motion to striU the Article from the Warrant. Mr. Barman
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous, The Board felt that any
Zoning articles or amendments to the Zoning By-Laws should be taken up at a.
regular Town Meeting and that more time should be allowed for the Board to
study and consider such articles. As the Article is presently written, it
would not be good for the Town and the present By-Laws are adequate.

Notice Is hereby given that at 700
P.M. on Monday evening, October 30,
1967, at the North Andover High School,
the North Andover Planning Board will
hold a public hearing, pursuant to the
Provisions of G.L. c. 40A, para. 6,
upon a proposal by NORMAN E. LENTZ
to amend the North Andover Zoning
By-LOW as follows:
"To amend Section 473 of the Zoning
BY-Law by adding the following para-
graph:
When in or abutting o residential

Dear Sir:
The following petition was heard at a meeting of the Planning Board on
Monday evening, March 6, 1967 at the Town Office Building. Members
present and voting weres William Chepulis, Jr., Chairman; Robert J,
Burke, Vice Chairman; Howard L. Gi]man, Secretary; James M. Bannan and
George B. Parley.
NORMAN E. L`NTZ petitioned to amend the North Andover Zoning By—Law.,
Section 4.73, by adding two paragraphs pertaining to area and the
number of bedrooms under Apartment developments.
Mr. Lentz spoke in his own behalf. There were several people present
who expressed their views on the amendments. Atty. John J. Willis and
Atty. Charles W. Trombly and Atty. Harold Borley, Jr. were recorded as
being opposed to the amendments.

In Executive session, Mr. Bannan made a motion to REJECT the amendments
to Section 4.73. Mr. Burke seconded the motion and the vote was
unanimous.
The Board feels that the present wording under that Section is satisfactory
and that the By-Laws adequately cover Apartment Developments.
