Meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. in the Town Building.
This was a Public Hearing. Mr. Mooradkanian actld as Chairman.
Nembers present: Gregory Mooradkanian, Irving C. Howes, Henry E. Lurid,
Richard G. Whipple, Andrew Alvino, Santo Dimauro and James Rega6.
An application was received from Mrs. Geneva Chesley requesting a variance of
the Zoning By-Laws so as to permit the di~sion of a parcel ~of property into
two individual parcels in order that the existing houses may Ge sold separately.
This property is located at 159-161 Main Street. The hearing on this application
was published in the Evening T~ibune on the evening of September 30, 1950.
Mrs. Chesley was present and Mr. Brasseur also represented her and explained to the
Board that the houses in question had been built for man~ years previous to the
Zoning Laws and that it was the wish of the owner to subdivide this property and to
sell it as two separate parcels. The requirements of the present Zoning ~aws
cannot be met but that the dividing line was made to conform as closel~ as possible
to the present requirements. Mr. Brasseur also started that a ten foot right of
way would be given the buyer of the rear house in order that they may have access
to the rear property. There was no Opposition to this application, all ab~tters
had been notified.
Motion was made and seconded and it was VOTE~ to take the matter under advisement.
A reqUest was received from Mr. Emmet Shea, 9 Lincoln Street to allo~ the transfer
of a non-conforming use permit to operate a variety store at this address to a new
owner, Mr. Shea atated tha~ he wished to ~ell his business to Mrs. Sally EahwaJg
and wished to have the non-conforming permit issued to him by this board to her.
The 'present permit would run out on May 18, 1951. There was no opposition to this
request and a motion w~s made and seconded and it was VOTED to ts~ke the mat'ter under
advisement.
An application was received from George and David Rennie requesting a renewal of a
non-conforming use permit to operate a fruit ~nd vege~table stand at 200 Chi'ckering
Road. This permit was originally granted to the Rennies on October !4, 1949.
Mr. Rennie stated tha~ he wished to contimue to operate this fruit and vegetable
stand in the same mannaer as he operated it for the~ past year. There was no
opposition .to this application. Motion was ~ade and seconded and it was VOTED to
take the matter under advisement.
After due considerationw as given the above applications, motion was made and
seconded and the following vote was passed.
Variance was granted to Mrs. Geneva Chesley to subdivide property according to
plans as presented to the Board. ~
Mrs. Sally EawahJg was granted a transfer of the non-conforming use perr~t ori-
ginally issued to Emmett Shea until May 18, 1951, at which time app]-i~cation for
renewal must be made in her own name.
A renewal of a non-conforming hse permit was granted to ~avid and George Rermie
to permit the continued operation of a friar and vegetable stand at 200 Chickering
Road for one year.
