Thomas Catalano Lot #40, Brentwood Circle ,John •T. Lvons, Town Clerk Town Office Ruildinr• North Andover, Mass. Dear Sir; The North Andover Beard of Appeals were in session in the Town Building on Monday? May 18, 1970 to consider the request of G. Thomas Catalano for a variance of Section 7.21 of the Zonin? Ry-laws to permit the garage with the dwelling on the north side of Brentwood Ci.rcl.e known as Lot 440. The public hearing was advertised i.n the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune on May 2 and 9, 1970 and all abutters were duly noti- fied by certified mail . The Board members present and voting were: Arthur R. Drummond, !7hairman; Daniet T. O'Leary, Secretary; Donald J. Scott, Donald J. Leonard and J. Philip Arsena>>lt, Esq. Mr. Catalano addressed the board stating that because of the configuration and topography of hi.= lot, it is not possible to locate his pre-designed residence and Parangi upon +,be lot i:nasm!zch as only the northeast corner of the house would be 2'/ felt from the lot: line rather than the 30 feet as required. Robert R. Bonnier and Philip Preston, immediate abutters, both spoke in favor of the variance. Followin7, the lis^nssion while the request was under advisement, Daniel: T. O'Leary made the motion to GRANTT the variance, which was seconded by Philip Arsenault and the Board voted in favor unanimously inasmuch as the requested variance will not be in substantial derogation of the Zoning By-Law.
