Narrative Summary of Project Describe project and VM a description of the general project boundaries and the present use of the project area.(if necessary, toe back of%k page to complete summary). The propose project consists of 2440 LF of reconstruction and upgrading of Holt Road and installation of strom drains. The existing two lane road will be widened to accommodate approximately 5 feet wide shoulder lanes to provide break down parking space and to accommodate large and.-heavy trucks movement. The existing right angle turn between the Holt Road and the Clark Street also posses hazardous driving conditions. This turn will be widened and properly angled to increase visibility of on coming traffic. In addition, entrance to the Holt Road from Route 125 will be designed and constructed to match the proposed route 125 widening at the intersection (this is proposed by the M.D.P.W.) . Further, intensive use of the Holt Road due to the construction of a resource recovery project have caused settling of the road at places and surface deterioration. Holt Road also services. 50 acres of undeveloped land zone industrial use. Future development that will have access through Halt Road includes: a) 12 acres parcel owned by the Crusader Papaer Company b) 30 " " to it is Lawrence Municipal Airport (LMA) C) 8 " it along the Holt Road zoned industrial use. Note: Upgrading of Holt Road was first reviewed by the NEPA office in the NESWC EIR. This was in conjunction with the access road to the facility.
