Dear Mr. Long:
A public hearing was held by the Board of Appeals on June 12, 1978 upon application of
David Kane who requested a variation of Sec. 6.1 and Table 2 of the Zoning By-Law so
as to permit division of existing lot of 20,966 s.f. into two building for purpose of
camstructing two-story dwelling as shown on a plan of land dated May 19, 1978, pre-
pared for Gladys V. Kane, and located at 48 Bay State Rd. The following members were
present and voting: Frank Serio, Jr., Chairman; Alfred E. Frizelle, Vice-Chairman;
R. Louis DiFruscio, Clerk; James D. Noble, Jr.; and John J. Gaffny, III.
The hearinZ7 was advertised in the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune on May 27 and June 3, 1978
and all abutters were duly notified by regular mail.
The size of the lot which resulted from the taking by eminent domain of a portion of
the property created a hardship and the Board found that each of the requirements of
Sec. 9.5 of the By-Law have been satisfied. Upon motion by Mr. DiFruscio and second
by Mr. Frizelle the Board voted unanimously to GRANT the variance requested.
