NORTf, OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SURVEYOR 384 OSGOOD STREET TOWN OF NORTH ANDOVER, MASSACHUSETTS 01845 i WILLIAM A.CYR TELEPHONE 685-0950 i Highway Surveyor I` 14ay 16, 1977 i Mr. Paul Lamprey, Chairman Planning Board 120 A.ain Street N. Andover, 1.1 Whippoorwill Park Dear Paul: After reviewing plan I would like to make the following recommendations. 1. First of all I recormend that road widths be no less than 26 ft. 2. This is ai-1 e. tremely -,.;et area and I would like two catch basins at the entrance of proposed road and forest St. and raiz drainage network of three additional locations of two catch basins each running the entire length of street. This would be two, basins at Forest St. entrance, two in middle of Lot 4. Also, two more as shoran at corner of Lot 3, and two in first part of the radius of circle. All drainage easements continuous through sub-division and deeded. to the To-van of llrrth Andover. This type of drainage as shown on plan is most difficult to maintain and control with future development. We have to be sure where this drainage is directed and that it is connected to the natural drainage courses in the area. ' 3. Eighteen inch over lap of gravel to be left as is and graded flush to the finish surface of roadtaay„when comple'ued. 4. Bituminous concrete thickness is not correct as. shown on the plan. Should be 211 and 11s” . 5• Headwalls to be built per our existing specifications. These may- be obtained at the Highway Dept. Office. 6. Any drainage problems arising during construction period z:iould be connected to the road drainage sy=stem. 7. 3/8" per root croTm on road. very truly yours, 0 CV-1 William A.
