An application was received from George Hayes of First Street~ requesting a, variance of the Zoning. By-Laws so as to permit the-erection of:a one stall garage for his own.use, with side yards of only eight feet ~n each sidee Mr. Hayes was present and explained to the Board that he would like te ~e the garage up with the house rather than go hack 65 feete ~ felt ~hat it would not be wise to set this garage back any further as the ]~nd slopes and it would ~ean a great deal of expense for filli~ in, There was ~ ebJeetion to this application from the abutterse After considering this application, a ruction was ~de by Mr. Perrone~ ~econded by Mr. Lund and it was unanimously voted te deny approval of the petition en the grounds that this Board had no authority to grant a variance cf less than ten foot side yards. The applicant was advised to submit new plans for the Board to reconsider. This ~ Public Hear~2 was advertised in tha Evening Tribune on April 3, 1954 and the abutters were notified. - An application was received from Daniel Olenio~ requesti~ a varianc® ef the Zoning By-Laws so as to per, it the erection and s~intoMnce of a roadside stand at 1591 Osgood Street. This application was advertised in the E~ening Tribune on April 3, 1954 and the abutters were notif~de Mr. Olenio was present and told the Board that he would like to have this stand as he planned to have a large garden and since he was located in an Agricultural District he felt that this was per~issabiee He stated that this stand would set back so that it would not create a traffic hazard. There' were no objectors to this application,
