An application was received from Joseph S. Cyr, requesting a variance of the
Zoning Law to permit ten foot ~ide yards on a ~-o% locate~d at llP ~tgh Street.
Mr. Oyr stated that when he applied for his building permits it had not Been
planned te have a~ ~tside steps on this building which was built only.
recently and that they had observed the 15 fcc% requirement. , ~owever, due
to the slope of the lands it was necessary to do some grading and it then
Became necessary to have two small open porches on slither side of the house.
These porches are five feet wide and because of this fact it has Become necessary
to appl~ for the variance. ~e also explained that this was an old Iot which
had Been recorded long Before Zoning was effective.

was very roach afraid would be undermined in the very near future if this
continued, He stated that the water runs down between the tee houses and
with the recent heavy rains it was quite objectionable. ~e stated that
he left for work one morning and only the floor on the foundation was done
but when he returned at night the whole house was up. He stated that he
had asked Mr, Cyr to do. son, thing about this but had been ignorede He
stated that all builders should be made to live up to the build~8 laws.
Mr. Leo Boulanger, 127 High Street, abutter on the other side stated ~that
· Mr. C2~ had raised the l~-d up when he built the ho~use, Previa. usl~ it was
even with both adJoini4g lots, With this grading higher than the next ~o
