Dear Sir:
A public hearing was held by the Board of Appeals on September 17, 1979 upon application
of Peter J. Piantidosi, Jr. who requested a Special Permit under Sec. 4.122 (14) of the
Zoning By-Law so as to permit one additional dwelling unit on the premises located at
the south side of Thorndike Rd. and known as 41-.3 Thorndike Rd. The following members
were present and voting: Frank Serio, Jr., Chairman; Alfred E. Frizelle, Vice-Chairman;
R. Louis DiFruscio, Clerk; James D. Noble, Jr.; and William J. Sullivan, Assoc. Member.
The hearing was advertised in the North Andover Citizen on Aug. 30 and Sept. 6, 1979
and all abutters were duly notified by regular mail.
Evidence presented at the hearing showed that the area is a multi-dwelling area and that
the present dwelling has two apartments. The petitioner desires to convert the third
floor to an additional dwelling unit consisting of a kitchen, dining and living room area,
a bath, and bedroom.
On motion made by DiFruscio, seconded by Sullivan the Board voted to GRANT the Special
Permit as requested. In granting the Special Permit, the Board finds that the provisions
of Sec. 10.31 of the By-Law have been satisfied. The petitioner is to submit plans to the
Board prior to the issuance of a Building Permit.
