Lyons, Town Clerk Town Building North Andover, Mass. Dear Sir: The following petition was heard at a meeting of the Board of Appeals on Monday evening, Septeaber 16, 1963 at the Torn. Office But.lding. Members present and voting weres Daniel T. O'Leary, Chairman; William Norton,* Secretary; John J. Shields, Arthur Dromnond and Robert J. Barke, associate somber who sat is place of henry Lund. RoBmT EARTSIDE ; requested a variation of See. 7, Para. 7.22 of the Zoning By- Lev so as to permit the erection of a garage nearer to the lot lines than is allowed under the Zoning By-Law on the promises, located at the south side of Longwood Ave., approx. 200 feet diatent from the corner of bhostsat Street, known as 31 Longwood Avenue. This public hearing was advertised in the Eagle Tribune on .August 31 and September 9, 1963. All abutters were daily notified of this hearing by certified mail. .The peti- tioner etitioner appeared for himself. Atty. Ralph Finck represented an abattsr, but dial not object, just questioned where the garage was to be placed. There were no other abutters present and there was no opposition. The Board discussed and vutsd on the petition. Mr. Shields made a motion to GRANT the variance. Mr. Drummond seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous. This variance is granted for the following reasons: 1. There exist certain conditions, especially affecting the parcel is qu60 Ono which do not generally affect the entire zoning district in which the parcel is located. 2. Unless the variance is granted, the applicant will suffer substantial hardship, financial or otherwise. 3. The requested variance will not adversely affect the public good to any sub- stantial extent and will not materially affect the general character of the neighborhood. 4.
