Donald N. Keirstead, See. John J. Monteiro, Jr. March 4, 1970 John J. Lyons, Town Clerk Town Office Building North Andover, Mass. Dear Sir: The following petition was heard at a meeting of the Planning Board on Monday evening, March 2, 1970 at 7:30 P.M. at the Town Office Building. Members present and voting were: William Chepulis, Jr., Chairman; Robert J. Burke, Vice Chairman; Donald N. Keirstead, Secretary; George B. Farley and Charles W. Trombly, Jr., Esq. FRANCIS B. KITTREDGE petitioned to amend the North Andover Zoning By-Law by adding a new section to permit certain used in Neighborhood Business Districts as follows: Section 4.24: "Banking, insurance, professional and other similar offices." N.r. Kittredge explained the reasons for the amendment and stated that there are only two Neighborhood Business Districts in North Andover and that the area of the Old Center is one and this change would allow specified offices there which would be good for the area. Mr. Keirstead made a motion to recommend favorable action and to change the wording as follows: "Section 4.24: Insurance, professional and real estate offices." Mr. Trombly seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous. The Board felt that the original wording of the article was too broad in scope and that by changing the .wording as above it would be more restrictive. These specified uses would also benefit the town in that particular zone. Very truly yours, PLANNING BOARD 14 William Chepulis Jr., Chairman AD i w a w .
