Dear Mr, Lcng: A public; h:laring was held by the Board of Appeals on August 1, 1978 upon application of Morton and Lillian Margolis requesting a variation of Seo. 6.3 and Table,;of the Zoning By-Law ago as to permit construction of a two-stall garage as shown on a plan of land dated June 1978 located on the Andover-By-Pass. The following members were present and voting: Alfred E. Frizelie, Vice-Chairman; R. Louis DiFrusoio, Clerk; James D. Noble, Jr.; John J. Gaffny, III; and Assoc. Member, Willian J. Sullivan. The hearing was advertised in the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune on July 15 & 22, 1978 and all abutters were duly notified by regular mail. Mr. Margolis, representing himself, stated that a hardship exists due to the topography of the land which contains considerable ledge, a cess pool and a water line from his neighbor's' property to his house. There was no opposition to the petition. The matter was taken under advisement. On August 14, 1978 the Board unanimously voted to GRANT the variance as requested due to the uniqua characteristics of the lot upon motion of Mr. Noble and second by Mr. Gaffky.
