BORGES] March 31, 1976 Mr. William Chepulis , Chairman North Andover Planning Board 120 Main St, North Andover, Mass . 01845 I Dear Sir: In reply to your letter of March 23, 1976 regarding the sub- division plans of "Turtle Hill" (Frank C. Gelinas & Associates Engineer, February 26, 1976) we have the following recommendations to make. We estimate the cost of an eight inch ductile iron cement lined water pipe seal coated inside, tar coated outside at $10,000.00. This is for 665 feet of eight inch pipe installed 15 feet from the North property line with five feet of cover below the finish grade of the street. An Eddy breakflange fire hydrant to North Andover ' j specifications is to be installed on the property line at station 6 + 65 with six inch Mueller or equal gate valve (to open left) complying with A. W. W. A. Specifications L500 52T with sliding type cast iron gate box marked WATER. The twelve by eight inch tapping sleeve on Salem Street shall meet A. W. W. A. C500 require +. ments and shall be of the poured type. BORGESI 2 All the above work must pass the leakage and pressure tests performed in accordance with Section 13 of A.W.W.A. standard 600, and shall be chlorinated in accordance with A.W.W.A. C 601, "Standard Procedure for Disinfecting Water Mains ." Adequate public liability end property damage insurance as well as a street opening bond in an amount satisfactory to the Highway Surveyor must be provided for the -work on Salem Street. Detailed specifications will be provided as required. Width of road to be 26 feet with 18 inch over- lap of gravel in shoulders. J 2. Drainage to be completely re-arranged to make UP 3 sets of catch basins. First to be located at the beginning of circle, second at the existing drainage ditch as shown on plan, and third to be situated at in- tersection of Salem St. From this point an easement will be obtained, by the developer, to pipe drainage to an existing basin approximately 200 ft. southerly on Salem St. 3.
