The Board of Appeals held a Special Meeting on Monday, December 17, 1990,
continued from December 11, 1990 upon the application of Lynn McLoughlin
as a Party Aggreived of the Zoning Bylaw so as to permit overturn of the
Building Inspector's decision so as to allow children's art lessons to be
conducted in the garage/barn which is part of the principle building on
the premises located at 327 Salem Street. The following members were
present and voting: William Sullivan, Vice-chairman, Walter Soule, Clerk,
Raymond Vivenzio and Anna O'Connor.
The hearing was advertised in the Lawrence Eagle Tribune on November 24,
1990 and November 25, 1990 and all abutters were notified by regular mail
Upon a motion made by Mr. Vivenzio and seconded by Mr. Soule, the Board
voted, unanimously, to GRANT the Party Aggreived, thereby overturning the
Building Inspector's decision. The Board considers this as one building
and the Building Inspector's interpretation is not correct.
The Board finds that this is a home occupation and therefore allowed at .
the above location, and will be a benefit to the neighborhood.
