Members present and voting were: Daniel T.-O'Leary, Chairman, Charles Fester, Soerotary, Associate Member IIs olA Morley Jr. and Associate Member Alfred go*". The Chairman designated Mr-Morley to sit in place of Mr. Gilman sad Mr. Boegl n in place of Mr. Lind. Esquire Homes, Inc. requested"a Special Permit in accordance with the requirements of Section 4.7, Paragraphs .4.71, 4.72, 4.73 and 4.74 of the Zoning By Las so as to permit the construction of two garden type apartment buildings each containing 11 apartments and one building containing /+ apartments; together with 26 exterior parking spaces, with proper access and egress as required by Zoning By Lax as the promises located at tae North side of Main Street and is also bounded by Allow Street sad Russell Street. Attorney Robert V. O'Sullivan represented the petitioner. Aloe appearing for tho petition was D. Francis Mahoney Treasurer of Esquire News. Joseph D. MwrpW represented the owner of the land John P. MarpW. It was pointed out this'developsl t mould bring considerable tax revesme to the T4RM aad would increase the value of the abutting property. dtterney Jobs Willie and approximately 30 *batters opposed the Special Permit AS they felt this would be detrimental to the neighborhood. It was also pointed out this would create more of a traffic problem in the area. Upon motion duly made and sec©sded,• it was wwmimously voted that the Special Permit be denied as this would be detrimental to the area as this is a single duelling area.
