Dear Sirs The following petition was board at a meeting of the Board of Appeals on X0347 evening., January 330 1964 at the Tosco Office Building, Mouberapresent and voting were: Daniel T. OtLeary, Chairman; William Norton, Secretary; Arthur Drtmmond, John J. Shields and Alfred Boeglin, Associate member, who sat in place of K n 7 Lsmd, requested a variation of See. 6, Para. 6.32 of the Zoning By-law so as to permit the use of a lot containing 733,OD0 square feet more or less, but which lot does not have sufficient frontage on a public way, on the premises, located at the west side of Osgood Street; 280 feet distant from the corner of Chadwick Street, Imovn as No. 812 Osgood Street. This public wring was advertised in the Eagle Tribune on Beemmber 30, 1963 and, January 6, 1961.. All abutters were duly notified of this hearing by certified mail.. Atty. John J. Willis represented the petitioner. He stated the reason for requesting a variance on this property was in order to construct a Convalescent Home that would cost over $500,000. Atty. Ralph B« Finck represented a large group of abutters vho were opposed to the petition. A list of approx. fifty Harass was received to be recorded in opposition. Som® of the objections were to loop the area residential, the increased traffic would be hazardous since there are alot of children in the area, inadequate legal notice, etc. This smearing vas held in the Fire Station meeting roam due to the large number of people present; approx. 75 people. The Board discussed and voted on the petition. Mr. Shields made a motion to MCC the variance. Mr. Mortem seconded the motion and the vote van . The reasons for denial are as follows: 1. All methods of relief have not been exhausted. 2. The applicant vill suffer no substantial hardship, financial or otherwise. .2.
