Regular Meeting
The regular monthIy meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on M~mdaT,
May 9,' 1960 at the Town Building. Members present and voting were.' Daniel T.
O'Leary, Chairman, Robert Burke, H~ward G~m*~ and Henry ~.un~ and AssOCiate
Member Harold~ Morley. Jr.' The Chairm~ designated Hr. Morley to sit in place
ef Mr. Fost~.r~ regular member, who was absent.
let hearing. Nilfred Cormisr requested a variance of Section 6 Paragraph 6.31 of
the zoning by 1Aw So as to permit the sale of this lot or to be able to build ew
it. Attorney F. A. Bernardin represented the petitioner and pointed out this lot
has a garage on it which the petitioner would like to remove. He also pointed out this
lot would not hurt the neighborhood and if the variance were not granted the petitioner
would ~t~ffer a financial hardship. There was no opposition.
Mr. Burke m~ved to take the matter under advisement. Mr. Luad seconded the motion.

2nd hearing. Dorothy Dadley requested a variance of Section 6 Para~ph 6.62
the z~ning by law so as to divide three lots into ~Wt~,~ets containing 10,500 scp,~e
feet each. Attorney John Lynch represented the petitioner. There was ne opposition.
Mr. Gilman moved tc take the matter under advisement. Mr. Luna seconded t~e ~otiom.
Unanimous vote.
3rd henri,. Alphonse Didell requested a variance of Section 7 Para~ph 7'.22
of the so~n8 by law so as to allow the erection of a house. P~ph Brasseur
appeared for the petitioner and pointed out Lot 15 on Heath Road had considerable
grade and has considerable growth of t~ees ~ it which the petitioner would like
to save.
Chairmen O'Leary read a letter from Mr. & Mrs. Baker, abbutters, objecting to this
side l~we variance. Present and objecting were: Charles Baker, Mrs. Merkesio, Mary
Ramsdell Sutton.
Mr. G~w~n moved to'~estpe~e ac+~ion u~til the Board views the pr~_u~ses. Mr. Lum~
seconded the motion. Unanimous vote.
Ralph Brasseur appeared before the Board and told the only plans that c~uld be
accepted by the Board were those dr~n by a Registered Land Surveyor which must
be stamped as so. Mr. O'Lear7 stated he could contact Town Counsel Salisbury on
this matter.
Mr. Burke moved to grant the variance to Wilfred C~rmier subject to the renoval of
the garage on Lot 13 as' this conforms to the neighborhood. Mr. L~nd seconded the
motion. Unanimous vote.
Mr. Gi~ moved to grant the variance to Dorothy Dadley as this size let conforms
to tbs ~aighberhood~and it is ~ conformity with Paragraph~6~62. Mr. Morley
seconded the motion. U--n~ous vote.
Mr. Gilman moved to deny the variance to Alphonse Didell as there is n~ substantial
hardship and this would not be in conformity ~ith the other houses of the neighborhood.
Mr. Morley seconded the motion. Unanim~us vote.
