I very much regret to advise that I am required to attend on that evening, a Judges' Meeting ordered by the Chief Justice of the District COurts of Massachusetts. Very truly yours, Arthur A. Thomson. TOWN OF NORTIt ANDOVER M~AS SACHUSETTS November 3, 196~ John J. Lyons, To~m Clerk Town Building North Andover, Mass. Dear Sir: The following petition was heard at a meeting of the Planning Board on ¥onday evening, November l, 1965 at the Town Office Building. Members present and voting were: James M. Barman, Chairman; Robert J. Burke, Howard G~l~n, George B. Farley and William Chepulis, Secretary. K. of C. ASSOCIATION, iNC. petitioned to amend the North Audover Zoning By-Law by changing from Country Residential to General Business a parcel of land on Sutton Street bounded by land of the Lawrence Airport Commission and K~standin. Atty. Randazzo and Joseph Senia represented the petitioner. The K. of C. organization desires to build a new building and according to the Zoning By--~ws such a structure is only a/lowed in a General Business area. There were three people recorded as opposed to the re-zoning but only because they were afraid that business would be extended on other land nearby in the future. Mr. Gilman made a motion to reco~mend~ approval of the re-zoning. Mr. Barman seconded the motion. Mr. Burke abstained from voting since he is a member of the K. of C. and felt he did not have the right to vote. The other four members voted in favor of the petition. Reasons for approval ares Land abutting this parcel is zoned for business. The re-zoning of this area is for the general good of the town of North Andover. It is not detrimental to the health, safety and general welfare of the neighbor- hood. Very truly yours, PL~,~ lNG BOARD AD -'.~/ James M.
