HomeMy WebLinkAbout1950-08-28WARRANT · ommoaweailh of Massachusetts Essex ss: To either of the Constables of the Town o£ North Andover: GREETING: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of North Andover, qualified to vote in Town Affairs, to meet in the Town Hall in said North Andover on Monday evening, the twenty-eighth day of August, 1950 at eight o'clock P. M., then and there to act on the following business: ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from the Reserve Fund Overlay Surplus the sum of Twenty-five Hundred Dollars ($2500) to supplement the Veterans' Benefits appropriation for the balance of the year. Petition of Bernard Bingham, Veterans' Agent ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town Will vote to transfer from available funds the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) to supplement the Moth Department appropriation for the balance of the year. Petition of John J. Connors, Moth Superintendent ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from available funds the sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($?,500) to supplement the Outside R~lief and Repairs appropriation for the balance of the year. Petition of the Board of Public Welfare ARTICt,E 4. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Laws by changing, the classification of a piece of property owned by Alfred H. McKee from a residential to a business district. , Said property is located on the westerly side of Church Street and is bounded and described as follows: Beginning at an angle in the westerly line of Church Street, said angle being approxi- mately on the extension of the southerly line of Cross Street, thence southwesterly by the westerly line of Church Street, 145 feet to a point; thence northwesterly 89.5 feet to a point; thence north- easterly 114 feet to a point, thence southeasterly 109.5 feet to the point of beginning. Petition of Alfred S. McKee and others ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to transfer Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500) from the Water Department wages and salary account to the Water Department ex- penses account. Petition of the Board of Public Works And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting true and attested copies thereof. at the Town Hall, and at five or more public Places in each voting precinct. Said coPies to be posted not more than fifteen days nor less than ten days before the time of holding said meeting. Hereof, fail not, and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of said meeting.
