At our Special Town l~eeting held in the Veteran's Auditorium
of our North Andover High School on Monday Evening September
1965 at 8:00 P.~., the following article appeared in the Marrant:
~nTICLE 5. To see if the Wown will vote to amend Article IV of
its General By-Laws by adding thereto the following new section:
Section 13, The Selectmen shall have the power and authority to
appoint, by majority vote, members of the Greater Lawrence ~anitary
District, extablished by Chapter 750 of the Acts of 1968.
Petition ~ the Selectmen.
Under the aforesaid article it was voted as follows:

Three hundred and forty-eight (548) duly registered voters were

At our Special Town ~,~eeting held in the Veteran's Auditorium
of our North Andover High School on ~onday Evening September 30,
1965 at 8:00 P.~=.'i., the following article appeared in the ~Varrant:
ARTICK&~ 9- To see if the Town will vote to amend Section 6.61 of
its Zoning By-Law by striking out the words "vacant, and" so that
said Section will read as follows:
6.61 Theresidential lot areas and lot rzidths above required under
Section 6.3 shall not apply in any residence district to any lot of
less area or less width than above required if such lot be not ad-
joined by other land of the same owner, available for combination
with or use in connection with such let, provided that the applicant
for a building permit on any such lot shall show by citations from
the Essex County Registry of deeds incorporated in or attached to
such application that such low was lawfully laid out and duly recor-
ded by plan or deed prior to the effective date of said Section 6.3,
and provided that on such a lot there shall be kept open and not
built upon a front yard and a rear yard each not less than 20 feet deep,
and two sid~ yards, each not Is ss than 12 feet wide, s~d further
provided that thore shall be a lot area of at least ~,500 square feet
for each dwelling unit in any multiple dwelling structure hereafter
erected upon any such lot. Petition of the Planning Board.
Under the aforesaid article it was voted as follows:

Dear Sir:
A public hearing was held on September 27, 1968
upon a proposal to amend the North Andover Zoning By-Laws,
Section 6.61 by striking out the words "vacant, and".
The Planning Board voted unanimously to recommend
approval of the amendment, which they feel is necessary
for clarification of this particular Section of the Zoning
By-Laws.
