Pe'rmission was granted to a group of women from Steven'a Mill £or'~the use
of Steven's Hall, ~o hold a minstrel show for the benefit of SerVicemen.
Mrs. Samuel Hardsley is in charge and show will be held November
Archie Provencher asked for permission to use Steven's Hall to run a.War
Bond Dance and to raise money for his football team. Permission w~not
granted. ~.
No'action was ~akeu on the Bus Line Service for which Percy Monrge Tinker
bas made application,.for a War Emergency Certificate. Peters, Essex and.
Great Pond Road are the Streets over whi:h the buses will pass.
~t was decided to notify Theodore Merrill that the Board has considered'~
the matter concerning his license and decided to place the case i'.o,n file with
warning future complaints will be dealt with more severely
Mr. Finneran stated that Chief McKee felt there should be a sign, (sTOP).on
each corner of Water Street. Mr. Thomson suggested that Chief McKee:'.be '
authorized to take the nec,e, ssary, steps ~o have the signs placed' ajnd that

Letter from 'Mr.: George J. Oronin was read,, regarding recognition, ~ f members
of American Merchant Marine; on Community Rolls. The Board favorg having
the nantes on the honor roll and a letter will be sent to Mr. Cronin .to that
effect.
