location. Motion made byMr~ Thomson ~o gran~ permission, seconded
by Mr. Finneran and voted unanimously.
Mr. Bs~rv said that nothing could be done about tbs shades being r'e-
moved from the street lights until a declaration was received from~ ~
the. Governor or s clarification from the.Army. Mr. 1Thomson ssked,~¥..Do

the Governor's Proclamation is correct?" Mr. Barry said that Mr. .~. ~
Patterson is in New York at +~his time. Mr. ~Thomson said~ "There is
nothing in the P~oclamation sayin~that shades cannot be removed..~,,
Mr.' Barry said, "How about the Army?" M~. Thomson .then read ~h~

Electric Company that no more shades will be available. Mr. Tb0msom~

Mr. Finneran asked about installation of new' lights, and Mr. Barry~ wi~.

A petition was received from residents of Sutton St. between ~Meadc~?~
brook Laundry and the North Andover Railroad Station for at lesst¥one
street light. The~lack of .light makes a hazardous condition'and~'for
women, a scary one. Motion'made. by Mr. Thomson to .accept the pe~ttio~J
and file until the report is received from Mr. Berry. Mr. Finneran
seconded thi~ and'it was ~voted unanimously. .i'~<..~
'Mr. Finneran had a complaint about whistles at the Railro,'d but felt
that not much can be 'done about it. A letter will. be ~se~t t~ 'the.'
Boston & Maine about this. The complainant felt tha~ it .was
sary to.~have whistles blow so long and so frequently ....
~r. Thomson suggested that ~e write and ask the Attorney General if we.
have a right %o make a demand to bare shades removed fro~ the stria%
lights. Mr. Thomson made a motion to send a letter to the Att?~neY~
General, seconded by Mr. Finneran and voted unanimously.
Mr.. Rivet came in to present outstanding bills %o the Board. He._ex-
plained that he had to bire,a different typsof help and pay mora~par~'
hour. Mr. Holt looked overthe bills and stated that the Advisory Bba~d
would sign the transfer.
