Mill Road Petition
~issioner returned a petition for the surveyor of Mill Road which was signed
at the last meetin,n, citing unacceptable wording. A revised petition was presented for signature.
It was VOTED to approve the signing of the petition to survey Mill Rd., and to send a cover
letter to the County Commissioners explaining our understanding of the petition.
Deoartment of Revenue - Audit

Appointment of Council on Aging Member
Upon receipt of a letter from John Lyons~ the Board unanimously VOTED to appoint Mr. Lyons
to the Council on Aging.
Solid Waste Disposal Study Committee - Appointment~,
the Board received a recommendation from the Board of Health to appoint Mr. Edward Scanlon as
a delegate to the solid waste committee. The Board unanimously VOTED to appoint Mr. Scanlon,
Bud Cyr, and Selectman Francis Dugan to the said Committee.
Discussion - Ommission of Wage Breakdown from Town Repo~'t
~'he Board discussed with Chief Dolan the feasibility of eliminating the names and wages of town
workers from the town report. The concensus of the Board was to leave the report the way i~
is and action such as this would probably require .'a town meeting vote. No action taken.
Sprinkler System - Town Hall
Chief Dolan apprised the Board of a broken clapper valve in the sprinkler system. The Board
instructed.the Secretary to request Grinnell Fire Protection Systems Co. have a look at it.
Special Legal Bills
The Board approved payment of two bills, from Holtz ~, Gilman totalling,,$65u,. 70.
Iommunity Development - Trombly Bus
~sadiscussed with the Board sCr.~.e o.ptions for where to allow Trombly Bus to park the Boston-
oound bus. She added that Mr. Messma has asked him noL'to continue to park:.in the Messina~s
parking lot.' Presently, 'Trombly parks behind Finneran's, which is a~greeabl~ to Mr. Finneran,
however, causes a congestion problem behind the store. Selectman Smith will monitor the
length of time the bus is parked, and where.
AB~ Bus Company - Charles Foster
the Board. discussed procedure to be followed when a department head, who is appointed by
the Board, walkes out of a meetino durina discussion involving his/her job performance. It
was VOTED to send a letter to Charles Foster, Building Inspector, requesting his explanation
for walking out of last week's meetino with the ABC Bus Company. Further, that a:majority
of the Board feels that no employee Should leave a meeting in'this~manner. Voted: 4 yes~;
1 abstension.

Transfer of Common Victualer license from Michael (:;entry to Joyce Pappalardo and Mary
Hutchings at the Holdino Pattern Restaurant was reviewed by the Licening Commissioners.
It was VOTED to reques't P01ice Chief's recommendation relative to this license.
