The Board held a regular meeting on this date with 4 members present: Chairman Charles A.
Salisbury, Christine M.Smith, Kenneth C. Crouch and Ramsey A. Bahrawy; Exec.Secretary Keith A.
Bergman. Selectman Graham out of Town on business. The warrant was approved as presented;
minutes of 6-2-86 and 6-9-86 were approved as presented.
Fire Dispatchers
Upon a motion by Bahrawy, seconded by Crouch, it was voted 3-1(Smith opposed) to authorize
the Executive Secretary and Fire Chief to bring back a list of 6 finalists for the 4 dispatcher
positions, ranked in order of preference, for the Board to appoint.
Resignation of Assistant,Electrical Inspector
The Board voted to accept with regret the resignation of Terrence Joyce as Assistant -Electrical
lInspector and to advertise for applicants.
Water Quality Update
Tony Lally, environmental engineer, met with the Board to review activities with the water
quality problems; 'reporting that choliform is still present in,-the water: He added that a
meeting is scheduled with DEQE for Tuesday and iris hoped to obtain the criteria for lifting
the boil order at that time; and that giardia samples continue to come back negative. Mr. Lally
reported that the onzinator systems should be here during the first week of July. Executive
Secretary Keith Bergman reported that the staff is working on erosion control and proposing
amendments to the subdivision rules and regulations. As for funds needed to solve the water
problem both the House and Senate have passed the supplemental budget for $2.5 million for the
town. . Mr. Bergman added that no applicants were received from the Harvard School of Public
Health for the health intern opening, and that an advertisement will be placed shortly in the
Boston GLobe. Gayton Osgood of the Bd. of Health. reported that no samples have been taken to
date from Stevens.Pond to determine whether or not to open the bathing beach.
Retirement of Mary Hanover
The Board unanimously accepted with regret the resignation of Mary Hanover as a crossing guard
for 27 years for the Town; and to present her with plaque at a future meeting.
LICENSING COMMISSIONERS
Seanery, Inc. d/b/a Jasmine
The Board held a public hearing on the application of Peter H. Wong for a restaurant all
alcoholic license for Willow Tree Place, Turnpike Street. Mt. Wong reported that the family
owns two other restaurants: Peking Gardens-in Lexington and Saugus, and have never had any
violations. Mr. Wong further reported that the plans call for a seating capacity of 75, with
a very small bar. Upon a motion by Crouch, seconded by Smith, it was voted to approve the
license with.the following stipulations: that hours of operation be till 9:30 p:m. on Monday
through Thursday, and until 11:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; and that the lounge not
be increased beyond its presently planned size; unanimously.
Boston University: One Day License Requests
The Board approved the following one day licenses, unanimously: June 19, 21, and 22, 1986. .
Livery Service: Arthur Fisher
Upon a motion by Smith, seconded by Crouch, voted unanimously to approve the operation of
a private livery service within and through the boundaries of the Town and to notify Mass.
Port Authority.
Underground Fuel Storage:
The Board held a public hearing on this date on the application to increauD the fuel storage of
Kinsman Fuel Service, Chickering Rd. , from 16,000 gallons to 39,500 gallons and replacing the
present tanks with new fiberglass tanks.

The Board held a regular meeting on this date with all members present: Chairman Charles A.
Salisbury, John W. Graham, Christine Smith, Kenneth Crouch, Ramsey A. Bahrawy; Executive
Secretary Keith Bergman. The warrant was approved as submitted.
Executive Session
Collective bargaining and pending litigation were discussed.
Veterans Agent Interviews
The Board interviewed Ted Citron, Richard LaHaye, and Toni Lennon for the positin of full time
veterans' district agent and graves registration officer for the Town. Upon a motion by Smith
seconded bylBahrawy, it was voted 3-2(Salisbury and Crouch opposed) to keep the veterans agent '-
in Town and to hire. Voted 4 for LaHaye and 1 for Lennon (Bahrawy) .
