Scheduling conflicts were discussed as well as some guidelines for future use and some proposed
expansion plans. Motion by Dugan, seconded by Crouch, voted unanimously to accept the guidelines
proposed by the Board of Trustees with items #3 and #8 amended. Motion by Crouch, seconded by
Dugan, voted unanimously to add an item #11 dealing with all users not covered by Town's liability
insurance be required to po st'. a certificate of liability insurance sufficient to protect the Town
from any loss. The Board vc;.ed to establish sub-committee to work towards the proposed addition
to the "barn" with the following volunteering to serve: Kenneth Crouch, Robert Ercolini, Wm.
Blackstock, Dana Fisher.
Recreation U~date
Bill MeEvoy gave an update of past and future recreational activities including Sunday night
recreational skating, softball leagues, summer playground activities, SNAP program, band concerts,
etc. He noted that he maintains a user schedule for all Town fields, and that his budget of $34,000
has been supplemented in past years with private funds. Mr. MeEvoy added that he is searching for
a portable construction trailer to be used for a stage. Some discussion took place concerning some
unused ball fields; Town Manager to give status report at a later date.
LICENSING COMMISSIONERS
~cense Request
Licensing Chairman Christine Smith brought up for discussion recent requests for one day liquor
licenses where liquor is not being sold, and the insurance industry's apparent insistence that the
insuree obtain a one day license. Ms Smith noted that issuance of a license of this kind would put
the Town in a position to be subrogated. Mr. Domoracki'~ff--6~l that he would agree to sell liquor
~. Motion by Salisbury, seconded by Crouch, voted unanimously
to issue a one day beer and wine license for June llth at Brooks School for the Domoracki wedding.
The Board agreed that it would not be appropriate to deal with licensing affairs at private homes.
Livery License Re uest
John Brennan and Mary Kay Barry, applicants for a livery permit appeared before the Board to
convey their frustration at having waited a long time for a police report and final approval of
thei.l~ request. Mr. Crouch noted that perhaps there would be no problem if the Board voted to
put the Chief in a position to object or not, rather than to approve or not. Motion by Crouch,
seconded by Ercqlini, voted unanimously to ap. prove, provided, th~ Chief has no objection.

The Board held a regular meeting on this date with all members present: Chairman Charles
A. Salisbury, Chrisitne M..Smith, Kenneth C. Crouch, Robert Ercolini, Francis X. Dugan;
Town Manager Paul Sharon. The mimu*es of May 16 were approved as amended.

The Board unanimously approved the petitions *o install one pole on Gray S*., approx. 722
West of Bos*on St.; one pole om Chestnut St., approx. 90 ft. Eas* of Blueberry Hill; one pole
at the intersection of Marbleridge Rd. and Great Pond Rd.; all with a police officer presen*,
Discussion: Coals and Objectives
The Board reviewed 1988's goals and objectives and what areas have been addressed. Members
to formulate their own lists for FY 89 for discussion at a fu*ure meeting. Additionally, f*
was agreed *o invite represen*atives of the Planning Bd. and Conserve*ion Commission *o the
June 13*h meeting to discuss goals and objectives; and division heads to. the June 27th meetin
Approval of Summer Meeting Schedule
The Board discussed the proposed summer meeting schedule and agreed to mae* every Monday in
June amd every other Monday in July and Angus*.

One Da Li . License Re uest
The Board approved the request of Merrimack College for a one day liquor license for an
alumni reunion on June 3, 1988 for approxima*ely 400 people; the college to supply security
guards.
Private Liver Service
John Brennan appeared'before the Board on behalf of applicant Mary Barry relative to her
request for a livery license. Town Manager Paul Sharon repot*ed that Police Chief Stanley
does not feel comfortable with giving approval in such instances and would rather *he Selec*-
