The Board of Selectmen held their meeting on thi~ date ~.rtth aL1 members present; Selectmen
Joseph A. Guthrie, Thomas J. McEvoy ~,lth Chairman John F. Coady presiding. The minutes and
~*arrant were approved as submitted.
SNOW RE~0VAL E/~ERGENCY:
Letter from ~ighway Surveyor indicated that a snow removal emergency sum of $36,846.93
would be needed to pay cost of the 1978 blizzard. The Board voted the sum stated above for
snow removal emergency and voted that it be added to the 1978 tax rate. Voted, also, to
request the amount of $12,500 from the Reserve F~d.
O;J~ES DRIVE ADJUDICATION:
Letters, in the affirmative, re the acceptance of Oakes Drive were received from the Planning
Board and Highx.~ay Surveyor. Board voted that a hearing be held on the adjudication on
April 17, 1978, at 7:30 p.m. Highway Surveyor stated that the drainage easements should
be deeded to the to~en before acceptance of the Street. Brian will consult Town Counsel on
the matter.
CTY. COI*.5SSIONERSADV. BOARD:
Letter received from the County Commissioners who advised they had adopted C. 959, Acts of
1977 re a County AdvisoryBoardand requested a person be designated to serve as the Token's
Representative on said Board. The Selectmen voted to have Selectman Joseph A. Guthrie, as
designee of the To~en and letter will be sent to John F. Barry, Director of County OPerations
advising him of the choice.
MV. TEXTILE NUSEUM DIRECTOR:
Letter from George M. Cunha, Director, contained evaluation of the b~!~ding and office spaces
in the town ball. Board voted to have report on next week's Agenda, February 27, 1978.
LETTERS OF APPRECIATION FOR SNOW REMOVAL HELP:
John Coco, C.D. Director - praised all town departments, for plowing and tranSPortation of

POLE LOCATIONS:
Petition received to install 2 poles (remove 2 poles) on Boxfond St. Approved.
Petition received to install poles on Boxford Street. Hearing set for March 6, 1978, 7:30 p.m.
CO~.~4UNITY ACTION CUYNCIL: ~
P. F. Laverriere, Ex. Director, requesting meeting to discuss how to assist the elderly in
regard to snow shoveling. Board voted to send letter stating they would be happy to discuss
tho mtter.
