GRASSO PETITION:
Mrs. Grasso presented a petition,signed by 200 certified si~natures, to
call a Special Town Meeting, to have an Article inserted for the..purP0se
of having a school zone declared on Mass. Avenue. and the installation of
a yellow warning li§h= in said school zone. It was voted unanimo~sly on
the following motions: A Special Town Meeting be held on"M0nda~,~'N0vemt;'~
19, 1979, at 7:30 p.m. in the Middle S¢hool Auditorium. Open WaF~ant f~r
Articles..ftrst Article to be submitted to be the Grasso petition.i D~part-
ment heads to be notified of the Board's intention to close the warrant for
the Special Town Meeting on October 22, 1979. Brian Sullivan to r~port, all
Articles to be included in the Warrant.
AUTRAN AVE. ST. LT.:
Complaint received from a resident of Autran Ave.stating that a street .light
that had been installed had been taken out. It was brought.out that there
were several street lights on the street~ although the complainants stated
that it quite dark where the street light had been taken out, and'~at there
was an open ditch at that area. B.Bolan did not recommend the reinstallation
of the light. It was brought out, however, that three lights were'a~a
wooded area, that one light in the middle could be transferred to. pgle .#10.
It was voted to notify all residents on the street that the street., lights3.
will be redistributed.

Letter from R. Lebel, President of the Bd. of Trade, advised the Board that
they were submitting the names of Anna O'Connor and John Burns to,the, Fla~
Pole Conunittee. T hey al~o inquired about the Town Yard and.MaiwStreet'
Parking Committee. Letter sent stating that the Chairmanof the',TownYard
Committee, Thomas McEvoy, would advise them in the near future or,the 't.ime
and place of a meeting on the subject.
SLOW-CHILDREN SIGN:
Request received from Andrea Irvine, 10~6 Great Pond Rd~ for a G'o-Slow-
Children sign in that vicinity. Request referred to Police Chief.,for~his
recommendation. ~
FIVE-MEN BoARDs:
Upon Selectman Guthrie's motion, it was voted to:sab~ an Article at=the
Annual Town Meeting, to increase membership of all Boards to 5 members.
Brian authorized to contact Boards advising them of theSelectmen~s in-
tention in this matter and to send their recommendations on thematter.
TOWN BUILDING:
Chairman McEvoy stated that Andy Roberge had been terminated by Ceta and
it was quite important that his services be retained by the Town't0"f~nish
the T own Treasurer's office and the Ladies Room on the first floor,.:~Andy
woUld be paid $8.00 perhour,~orking, on 5ot~ ~roJects',.'. It was so Voted.
