WIRING I~SPECTORREGULATIONS:
Charles Foster and John Thompson appeared before the Board once again to
discuss the new regulation that prevented a Wiring Inspector from doing
private work (electrical) in the same town that he is Wiring Inspector.
Thompson stated he would be willing to be a full time Wiring Inspector if
he could be compensated for it for his other income from personal electri-
cal work would be eliminated. Selectman Guthrie s~ggested that the posi-
tion be advertised for applicants. It was the feeling of the'Boardthat~
because of the long, faithful service John T. has rendered the town over
many years that he should have first preference for the Job. It was
brought out that compensation for a full time Wiring Inspector would be
justified with fees brought in from construction." After a lengthy dis-
cussion, it was voted to meet, at everyone's earliest convenience, with
the Advisory Board, John Thompson, Charles Foster and the Personnel Board
for reclassification of the Wiring Inspector position and to request from
the Advisory Board the necessary funds for the reclassification. Vo~e was
unanimous.
