Guthrie, Salisbury, Joyce~ Graham with Chairman McEvoy presiding. The

SCHOOL ZONE SIGNAL BIDS:
Two bids were received: T.P.H. Si~nal Co. $5,730. and DeFruscio & Sons,
'$6~918. Guthrie made motion to accept lowest bid, $5,730. Vote unanimous.
The si~nal will be located on Mass. Ave. opposite the Atkinson School

The Selectmen approved the ad for Town Report bids as wri~.=en. Bids will be
accep=ed~.until January 14, 1980 in the Town Clerk's office. Specs available
-at Town Clerk's office. As a courtesy, specifications were sent out to 14
· printers"by the Selec=men's Secretary. '

WARRANT OPENING & CLOSING:
The Selectmen voted unanimously, to OPen the ~arrant..for =he Annual Town
Meetin~.(~hi~h will be held onApril 26, 1980) on this date, December 26
and closing'date to be February:Il, 1980. The Board voted to have office
notify all departments and =oadvertise opening and closing date.
BOB DUNNi~OSTON SKI HILL SNOW HAKING:
Letter'ree'eived.'-from Chief~onneliy advised the Board of a noiseaor~mplaint
froma Mr, Allen who lives across from the Boa=on SkiHill. He complained
.when Mr; Dunn made artificial snow, it made so much noise he couldn't sleep.
Bob.-Dunn. appeared before the Board .and said he had been aaking artificial
snow'for 22 years, about 11 times a year, and that Mr. Allen had lived across
the street=he same 22 years and had never complained about the noise before
this. year. Mr. Dunnstated =ha=, like all operated ski tows, he would be
forced to go out of business if he cculdn't-,~a~e artificial snow especially
in a >'ear like this one. He stated that he/~e artificial snow wihh a new
~un ~the-last two nights,which was supposed to be in keeping with hhe new
criers-y; program, as an experiment but was not going to use it anymore for it
didmake more noise. The equipment will be picked up shortly to be returned
Mr. Dunn stated the Allen complaint is a personal one. Hr. Dunn has
three,of the Allen children at the Ski Hill~for a number of years but when

After more discussion, the Board unanimously voted =o inform Police Chief
Donnelly, in writing, =hat they have no objection to Dunn making artificial
snow with his present equipment.
FIP. FIGHTER'S UNION:
The Board voted unanimously =o have letter sent to the Firefighter's Union
before Jandary 1, 1980, advising them Chat'the Selectmen will meet to nego-
tiate on the Manning clause, overtime clause and injury leave. They want to
discuss, also, the introduction of a CPR course to be given by the Fire-
fighters.,., i~hll~on duty to anyone that is interested in taking the course.
