FIRE DOOR-TOWN BUILDING
A request was received from Fred Pitkin, Suptintendent of Schools, for permission
to use a fire door which was purchased some time ago when there was talk of
conversion,to coal· Mr. Duncan, Town Clerk, stated that he was quite willing
that .Mr. Pitkin should use this door but he wanted i~ to be made as motion at
the meeting of the Board. Mr. 2homson made a motion that Mr. Pitkin be
allowed ~o Use the door in question, at the Union School. Motion seconded
byMr. Finneran and vote was un.a,~:i~ous~':"' '~

COMPLAINT: A petition was presented to the Board by /,/~n Kane tin regard to
two dogs which are owned~by John J. Dineen, 300 Middlesex Stree , North Andover,
and which are claimed to be a nuisance 'in the neighborhood. Mr. Fane 'stated
that·~,the Police and the Dog 0fficer have been do~n there several times but
have no: been able to' accomplish anything~ Mr. Fane stated that"he has,'many
murm ,names to be added to the petition and he will return with, same at the next
meeting. A hearing will be declared a: a later ,date·

V-DAY: A letter from the Treasury Department relative .~o the celebration of
V Day was read by Mr. Foster. Ir'was suggested that in planning ceremonies
f6r ,this day, that the purchase of War Bonds would be included in' this program.'
': It was then voted to appoint a committee to plan for the celebration of V;Day.

AIRPORT- TREE REMOV~L~ A letter was received from the City Clerk of Lawrence,
Gordon E. Gaffney requesting further information on the tree removal at the
airport, regarding further interpretation of the vote of the Selectmen.
