Carty, the Board of Selectmen declared a Snow Emergency as of February 9, 1945 at g. O0 AiM. Mr. Carty wan~ed to make sure this was in,the records so that%he proper bills could be approved. VETERAN'S LOT: Joseph Duncan suggested to~the Board tha~ the persons in charge of the Ridgwood and Holy Sepulchre Cemeteries should be notified of~ that fact that permission is to be received from the local burial agent to open a grave in the Veteran's lots as they are the persons to whom the under,tAkers go, when they wish to have a grave opened. Mr. Duncan also stated,that he issues a burial~ or ~:. removal permit to the undertaker bu~ this has n6thing ~o do with the cemetery lot. He issues permits only for persons who dt~e in'North Andover or for a- -' person who dies out of the state and is brought back her for burial 'The Board agreed that these parties should 'be/contacted. NEWBURYPORT, CITY OF: ~No'reply has been received from the Board of!Health in Newburyport in:r~gAr8 .to..removing the body of the unknown person buried in the~eteran,s Lot in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If no reply is reeeived,a follow up letter will be sent within the next week. RATIONING BOARD: Andrew Coffin came ~fore the board and read a communicationreceived from.~ 1 the" State Director, to the effect that there should be a labor member on the',, i ' the various panels. Mr. D~vid Hunter's name was presented ~for approVa~ ,~F ; and he will be on the food panel. Mr. Coffin feels that the fuel and' panels should be increased although there are no ~abor,members on present. Mr. Coffin.~stated that there is one weak point and that is ,in~wee~y publications.. Mrs. Maynard is not in there all the .time and they are'not ~able to get reports on price control made out. Mr. Coffin believes that the price control is the major thing and that ,both the ~price and labor panels should have five members and the other panels.~l three. ~ Mr. Hunter was formerly a sculptor but is now employed in the Wood Mill.~/ The Board approved Mr. Hunter's appointment unanimously. , :,..~., ,.~',.~.
