The regular weekly meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date at
7:00 P.M. with all members present. Weekly bills and payrolls were approved.
STREET LIGHT: REQUEST
A request from Fred Cochrane for a street light ~o'be installed on Pole No. 1870
on Great Pond Road was approved by the Board. This section of the street is
narrow and there are railroad tracks which cause a hazardousco~dition here.
BOARD OF REGISTRARS:
The ~arm of Orris Rea's service in this office expires on April 30, 1945 and
Mr.~Rea has informed Mr. Foster that he does not wish to serve again. ~We will
wait for s recommendation from Mr. Duncan before appointing a registrar.

unanimous vote. Mr. Thomson suggested that Mr. Foster talk,with Mr. Rivet
~and~ request that happenings in the past be corrected.

measures.
'+Mr~Foster~ discussed.thismatter and stated that Mr. Jenkin~ would like to
~have .~his position and Mr. Foster ~seconded the motion, of Mr. Finneran
~,app~nt Mr. Jenkins. Mr. Thomson then withdrew his motion to appoint Ernest
.Smith and votedunanimously on the appointment ofM r. Jenkins.
CERTIEICATIONS:
?~Certi£ications were received from the various venders and from those who
~performed labor for Mr. Rivet at the Grogan's'Field Playground as required
~by~taw anda certification wasalsc received from Mr~ Rivet stating that ~11
materials and goodslisted and all labor performed were ordered by him. BilI
~wa~.then approved by the~Board.

Mr. Foster reported that Z~r. Robert Kirsch had found a dead cat and had
buried it and would liked~ to bereimbursed for this service. The matter will
~be referred to the Board of Health.
· '-REPOHT ON CLAIM OF CELL~PEARL: ".
kTletter was received from C. J. Mahoney stating that in view of the severity
of the injury to Mrs. Pearl he would recommend that the payment of $75.00
which covers al! expense, both pain and suffering, and the expenses paid by the
husband Nathan Pearl. A release will be received from C. J. Mahoneyupon
~eceipt of check for the aboveamount.
