appropriation was received and the Board voted to ~an~ this request, pending
approval of the ~.dvisory Board.
A request from Mr. James Elliot% auditor, requesting that 810.09 be transferred
from the Reserve h~nd to take care of the balance of the annual zo~,m reports
appropriation was also approved, pending approval by the Advisory Board.

The regular weekly .meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at 7:00 P.M. with
all members present. Weekly bills and payrolls were approved.
A request was received for permission to install a 1000 lume~ street light on
one of the poles on the opposite side of Massachusetts Avenue from where it
is now located. It is now on pole .~m~er ll30and will be placed on the opposite
side at approximately the same place. The hoard voted to inspect this spot and
decide at a later meeting.
A statement from the above company that a shield had been installed on the
street light On'pole #ill on Middlesex so as t~ shield #238 Middlesex St.
A hearing was held at ?:30 P.M. on the petition of the Lawrence Gas & Electric
Company for permission to locate polesp wires and fixtures on the westerly side
of Salem Street, 3 poles; on the northerly and southerly sides of Ingalls Street,
g poles; at the intersection of Forest and Ingalls Streets, 1 pole; and on Forest,
Street 16 poles; 3-poles and 11 poles. Abutters were notified and no objections
were.offered. A motion was made and seconded that the request be granted.' Vote

SPECIAL CONSTABLE:
Edward E. Town. of 96 Elm Street, was appointed byunsmim~us vote to be a Special
Constable.
