The letter will be given to the circulation editor at the Tribune to see if something can be done to remedy this condition. FUTURE AOOIDENTS (DR0Y~INGS) No reply has been received from the two mills which sent representativesto meet with this Board on October 1, to discuss this problem. It was voted to send a letter of reminder to both mills and further suggest that this hoard'"[ would be agreeable to meet with them at any time and place, which was m~tually agreeable. DUMPIlIG: Mr-~Finneran r~ceived a complaint from Mr. Shes, who is building a house on the corner of Railroad Ave. and Turnpike Street, that considerable dumping is done on his land and he would like to have something done about this. Mr. Finneran will take this up with Mr. Catty. OOMPL~INT-KOFFEE SHOP Numerous complaints are still being received from the Eo£fee Shop regarding · noise, the music box, blowing automobile horns, etc. It was voted to refer this to the Police Department and request an investigation and a complete , reports pLANNING BOARD-?A~ANCY A Joint meeting of the remaining members of the Board of Public Works ~and ~he Board of Selectmen was held at 8:00 P.M. to fill the vacancy caused'by the" death of Bernard Hughes. Five candidates ,names were given and Joseph of 208 0sgood Street was appointed to fill the vacancy for the remainder Of '~his' term until the an~,,,1 town meeting, by unanimous vote. Mr. Thomson the. name, of Fred Townsend and Mr. Finneran gave the names of William Higgin- Bottom, Janes Macklin, Dr. Harold:Kay and Joseph D..S,,11ivan. Mr. Sullivan '.',will,be notified by ·this Board as to the date of the ne~t meeting. LETTER OF A¢OE~NGE A~letter of acceptance and ap~.~ciation of the. vote of the Board on the appointment of Joseph D- Sullivan as a member of the Board of Public Works was received on this day. STEVENS HAIZ A request from the Veteran's of Foreign Wars was receive~ ~ for permission to use Stevens N,!i on December 7, 1945 to hold a Penny Socxax. Mr. Thomson made a motion to grant this request if the hall is open for that night and Mr. Finneran seconded motion and was unanimous.
