This request will be kept'on file. LAWRENCE GAS &ELECTRIC COMPANY: Mrs. John McGuire complained that the shade on the street lifht at the corner of Maple Avenue and Stonington Street makes a very dark section in front of her home and she recently fellthere because of this darkness. We had previously received a reques~ to have the shade adjusted so that the light would not sh~ne into the window of Mr. Arnold Salishury, s home. A letter will be sent to the Gas Company to see what can be done to clear this situation and at thesame time please both the families involved. Mr. McGuire lives at 13 StoningtonStreet. APRIL 20,1948: COLLEC~0R,S BOND: A bond for $1500 for the tax collector for Uncollected recon~,itted taxes was si~ned'-by the board, Bond #65-34864, Aetna. Casualty and Surety Company. A special meeting of the board of Selectmen was hild at 2:0~ P.M. at which time~ the' Merrimack School Building and a portion of the land thereto was transferred to ~he archdiocese of Boston for the sum of $47~038.28 and a strip of land adJacen~~ to th~, Methodist Church was-transferred to the First Methodist ~hurch for the sum of $1084.80.
