INSURANCE-continued.
The board ~greed that this should be done and that the request should come from this
board and was-so' voted. Mr. Coffin will take care of this matter.
Mt.coffin further stated that he was interested in increasing coverage for police and
firemen in the-event of death or accident. He felt that $2,000 would .mean nothing to
a widow in case of death to her husband and also .if an officer or fireman were laid up
because of accident~ he .would not receive sufficient to get along on. This will be
discussed at a later date.
NOVEMBE~ 5, 1951:
The reguZ~r weekly meeting of the 'Board of Selectmen was held at ?:00 P.M. with tWo
members present. Weekly bills and payrolls were approved b~. the board;' Mr. Coffin
asked to be excused from attending this meeting.
$~EET LIGHT RE,TEST:
'Mr, Thomson informed the board that he had received, a request-for a street light
, be installed on Sawyer Road on the only pole on the street. Since, there are no lights
in this area, the board voted to request the Lawrence Gas & Electric Company to install
a 10OO lumen stree~ light. ·
Mr. Finseran received a request for a street light to be installed on p01e ~1226 'on
Chestnut Street. - Request came frsm Mr. Deloge"and .Mr. Campbell. The board voted
unanimously: to requsst a 1000 lumen street, light robe installed on this pole;

Board voted, unanimously to grant a permit to Mrs. Frank elms, in behalf of the
Ameri'can Legion to hold Poppy Day on November 10~ 11 and 12. -
J COMPLAII~T-tIGHTS ON GREEN STREET:
· .' Mr.; Plnnsran. informed, the board that he had received complaints! about-the street lights
:i going out on. Green 'Street and asked if- the board could try ':to 'find out%he reason for
power failure. Tee board 'voted to again contact the Lawrence Gas & Electric Company
to see if they could check and find the reason for this failure and %0 somotify us.

Communication received informing the boa~d that copies of tariffs referred to in" ~,,~

State House and may be examined by. this board or any of the public during the 'hours

DAMAGE CLAIM:
John J. Conners, tree warden, presented a bill to t~e board in the amount of
the cost of repairing his car which was struck by a tow~ truck and on which there
is no insurance. The board approved the claim and voted to pay it from the Contingent
Fund and obtain a general release frc~ Mr. conners before making the payment to, him.
