TO~N ~ IMPROVEMENTS - T. Counsel - Zoning
Chairman Finck read letter from Town Connsel Arnold H. Salisbury'relating to
~resemt zoning restrictions connected with recently acquired land for the
purpose of town yard expansion. Town Co,m.~cl advised the land as zoned will
permit th~ .proposed p. reliminary w~rk, hut .if structures are to he erected
the lnn~ will have to be re-zoned. Chairman Finck recommended the board
advertise immediately for bids in accordance with plan and specifications
submitted By Engineer Ralph E. Brasseur. Mr. j Sutcliffe motioned a cn]] for
bids be advertised for acceptance on November 30, 1959 at 7:30 P.M. Mr.
.Finneran seconded the motion'nn~ the vote was unanimous; Mr. Finneran
suggested an article be drawn up placing the land ,,n~er proper zoning for'
proposed future use. Mr. Finck suggested'the matter be discussed ~i-th the '
department heads at' next Joint~meeting on December 7,. Hr. Sutcliffe stated
he felt there .is sufficient time in which to consider re-Zoning.
DMSION OF OUTDOOR ADVERTISING
Th~ Massachusetts OUtdoor Advertising Authority submitted application by
Salem Coca-Cola Bottling.06., Inc. to erect a sign at 49-~1 Mass. Avenue
for approval.or disapproval of the Board of Selectmen. Mr..Finneran
motioned the. application be referred to Building Inspector Martin J. Lawlor
for recommendation with request for immediate reply. Mr; Sutcliffe second-
ed the motion and the vote was unanimous. The board directed Hr. Lawlor
be reminded of previous request for recmmendation on an outdoor sign for
52 Main Street.

The board accepted a copy of a letter to the Board of Health .from Marshfield Air-
ways, Inc. relative to a proposed mosquito control project for the Town of
North Andover. Chairman PLuck stated Jurisdiction of the matter was strictly
under ,the authority of the Board of Health.
SPECIAL TG~N NEETING
Upon motion of Hr. Finneran -~econded by Hr. Sutcliffe. and ~oted unanimously,
this meeting wes adjourned at 8:00 P.M. and the Board of Selectmen reported
to the North Andover High School Auditorium for the purpose of a Special
Town Meeting of this time and date.

BNDERGR~ND STORAGE - Airport
:~earing was hel~ on application by Ralph Richard C~-~truction Co. for a tem-
porary license to store usdersround, at the Lawrence Mancipal Airport~l%00 gallons
of gasoline and 4000 gals. of diesel fuel oil. Upon motion of Hr. Ftnneran~secoaded hy
Hr. Sutcliffe and voted unanimously; the license was granted.
DEPAR~fENT GFPUBLIO WORKS - Chapter 90
Upon motion of}ir. Sutcliffe~seconded be Mr. F!~eran ~ votednnanimously, approved
estimate fromthe Dept. PublicWorks in the emonnt of $5,165.10 to be ~aid 5ontractor
Del Duca for work to'date on Dale Street was accepted by the board for payment.
STREET LIGHTING
Reco~m.,endation for improved street lighting on Maple Avenue between Third and Second
Streets , Lyman Road and Mifflin Driv%were unanimously adopted by the. board by motion
of Mr. Sutcliffe,seccadad by Mr. Finneran. Hr. Sutcli~fe ~ suggested the ~-~t~llation
on Lyman Road b~., made immediately.
TREE P~OTAL - ANNIS STREET
Having viewed'the Sidewalk condition in connection with petition by Mr. W~l.liem
Robinson for the removal cf a tree at 22 Aanis Street, the board voted unanimom:ly
that the tree be removed . This was on motion of Mr. Finneran , seconded by
Mr. Sutcliffe.
