COLGATE VS TG~N OF NORTH ANDO~ER The board voted unanimously to accepm a letter from Towa Counsel Atty. Charles W. Trombly relative to Colgate Vs the Town of N~th Andover. UNIVE~SITYOFMASS. - Selectmen's Seminars Chairmm Finck rea~ letter from the University of Mass. relative to Selectmen's Seminars. The board agreed every effort would be made to attend. NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF JEWS, INC. Proclamation Chairman Fimck read letter from the National Conference of Christians & Jews, Inc., r~lative to National Brotherhood Week and agreed to issue the proclamation enclosed. APPOINTMENTS - Precinct Workers The following precinct workers were appointed on this date: Elsbeth C. Saunders, 3 Chapin Road - Spare Counter, Precinct Two Cecilia E. Nevtns, 245 Osgood Street - Spare Counter, Precinct Four William G. Martin, S8 Church Street - S~sre Counter, Precinct Two Februery 29, 1960 The Board of Selectmen held their regualr weekly meeting on this date with all members present and ch~hrman Finck presiding. It was noted on this date that letters to the Lawrence City Mayor and Air- port Commission from the board contained au error on the date of meeting. Letters stating board regret that ~this error occurred were forwarded to both parties. AVAILABLE FUNDS The Board af Selectmen accepted certification from Herman B. Dine, Director of Accounts, that the amount of available funds ~r the To~m of North Andover as of January 1, 1960, is ~140,904.§7. RETIREMENT BG~RD Chairman Finck read letter from the Essex County Retirement Board requesting payment of Town appropriation to the retirement system in the amount of $28,977.91. The board voted unanimously that payment be made. LAWRENCE POSTAL ~2~PLOYEES - Annual Spiritual Sunday Upon motion of Mr. Sutcliffe seconded by Mr. Fiuneram and voted unanimously, it was agreed Chairman Finck would represent the Board of Selectmen at the La~ence Postal ~Eployses anausl Spiritual Sunday Breakfast on March 6, 1960. LAWRENCE AIRPORT CG~NISSION- Trees Chairman Finck stated he and Mr. Connors had inspected the trees at the airport which the a~rport commission had requested be removed and that the trees are in good condition. He added he cannot determine the necess- ity of removal and suggested the airport commission be requested to attend a meeting of the board to explain the necessity of removal. Mr. Sutcliffe made this a motion sedouded by Mr. Finnerau smd voted unanimous. APPLICATION - Storage of Fuel Oil Upon motion of Mr. Finneran seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe and voted umanimousiy, hearing was set for March 14, 1960, 7:30 P.M., on application by Mr. D. Robert Nieetta, 106 Mifflin Drive, to store 60,000 gallons of fuel oil at 91 Belmont Street. ESSEX COUNTY BGARDS OF TRADE - Highway Film Chairman Finck read letter from the Essex County Associated Boards of Trade relating next meeting of March 9 at which time Roads of Progress, a film of the plan a~ progress of r~ads on the State will be shown. Mr. Finck suggested the board cOntact the District HighwayEngineer to request that the film be shown in the Town of North Aadover at the earliest possible date. ADJUDICATION OF STREETS FOR ACCEPTANCE Upon motion of Mr. Finneran seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe and voted unanimous, a ~earing was set for March 7, 7:30 P.M., for the purpose of adjudication of the following streets as public ways: Heath Road, Heath Circle, Lymm Road and Wilson Road. Petitions for acceptonce of said streets appear as articles in the annual mown warrant.
