AMUSEMENT PARK - Corner of Clark and Osgood Streets
Chairman Finck read a letter from Town Counsel with his recommendation in
connection with zoning. The letter contained ressons why the Board should
not entertain the application.. Mr. Sutcliffe motioned a copy of the letter
be sent ~o the interested party~ Mr. Edward McGee. Mr. Ftnneran seconded the
motion and the vote was unanimous.
PETITIONS - Joint Pole Locations
Upon motion of Mr. Sutcliffe, seconded by Mr. Finneran and voted unanimously,
hearings were set for April 18, 1960, a~ 7:30 P.M. on Joint petitions for the
locations of poles on 1-Great Pond Road, 2-Osgood Street, 3-Court Street.
LUNCHEON INVITATION - Raytheon Andover Plant
Chairman Finck read a letter from Mr. Walden of Raytheon Andover Plant re-
questidg a luncheon meeting with the Board to discuss problems of mutual
interest. Upon motion of Mr. Sutcliffe, a letter will be sent accepting the
invitation for April 13th at Mr. Ealden~%s convenienthof~. Mr. Finneran
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
APPOINTMENT - Special Civil Constable
Mr. Finneran motioned to re-appoint Joseph W. Lawlor, Special Civil Constable.
Mr. Sutcliffe seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
INVITATION - Selectmen's Seminar
Chairmsn~Finckread the information contained in the pamphlets for a
Selectmen's Seminar at Bridgewater, April 27 through May 25, 1960; at Concord,
April 21 through May l9, 1960. Enrollment forms enclosed. This will be
tabled for one week.
IN~ITATION- Chamber of Commerce Seminar
Mr. Sutcliffe read a letter he received fromMr. Francis J. Lucy inviting the
Board of Selectmen to the 5th Annual Seminar at Merrimack College on April 20th.
Mr. Sutcliffe motioned to accept the invitation and reques~ Mr. Lucy to make the=
necessary arrangements. Mr. Finneran seconded the motion and' the vote was unanimous.
BOARD OF HEALTH - X-Ray Program
Chairman Finck read a letter from the Board of Health anno~ucing a food-handler's
x-ray program to be held on April 13, Town Building, 10 A.M. to 12 noon. The
letter was accepted by the Board.
CARNEY'S ,~ ~ORNER - Stone Wall
Chairman Finck stated that he was informe~ that 4 feet of the stone wall at
Carney's Co~ner is on State property an~ will be removed by the State in the
near future.
CHAPTER 90 - Dale Street
Chairman Finck stated that he was requested by Mr. Sartyto send a letter to
the Dept. of Public Works requesting bids on Chapt. 90, Dale St. project.
Mr~ Finneran motioned the letter be sen~, seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe and voted
unanimously.
APPOINTMENT - Spare Counter
Upon motion of Chairman Finck, seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe, it was voted unani-
mously to appoint Evelyn Ronan, 273 Osgood Street a spare counter in Preci~c$ 4.
MEETING ADJOURNED
Upon motion ~f Mr. Finneran, seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe and voted unanimously,
this meeting adjourned at lO:O0 P.M.
