Comzmnications were referred to James Naker, Treasurer, on motion of Mr. Sutcliffe, seconded by Mr. Finneren, and voted unanimously. RENN~AL OF CLASS II USED CAR DEALER'S LICENSE: Upon motion of Mr. Finneran, seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe, end voted un~imonsly, the Class II license of Benjamin Hollins, d/b/a Hollins Saper Service was renewed for the coming year. APPLTCATYON FOR STC~AGE GF FLAMMABLES: Western EIectric Compeny A hearing date was set for January 9, 1960, at~7:30 p.m. on the application for license to store miscelleneous waste flammables upon motion of Mr. Sutcliffe, seconded by Mr. Fixmeran, end voted unenimously. ~WO-WA¥ RADIO S~TEM: A copy of a letter from O.D. Director Dyer to Chief Daw of the Fire Department was read by the Chairman and placed on file. Zt stated' that the two-way radio system is essentially en emergency system end suggested tha~ a radio log be maintained for all non-fire department calls listing date, time, car number, and isubJect matter of call. A letter and a schedule of hoepital-surgical-medical benefits was received from the Group Insurence Commission. Seine was referred to the Towa Treasurer upon motion of Mr. S~tcliffe~ seconded by Mr. FLuneran, and voted unanimously. F~C.O~: In re Radio Station WCAP Commmnications were received from the F.C,C. in Washington, D.C. regerding~ Radio Station WCAP and read bythe Chaixmmn. One "Order., stated that~the - scheduled dates for the ~ling of Proposed Findings cf Fact and Conclusions cf Law presently scheduled to be filed on December 1~ end 30, 1960', 'Be~ex~ended to December 20, 1960, and January 4, 1961, respectively. The other '"O~der" stated on December 15,1960, the RUB Exhibit 1 end ~B Exhibit I~A~ 'be re- ceived in evidence and the record in the proceeding be closed. Same were placed on file. ESSEX CGUNTY RETIR~I~ENT BOARD: 'A letter' was received by the Selectmen calling to their attention the pro- visions of ~hapter 6~?, Acts::ef 1960, ~hich provide for an increase in the amounts of pensions and retirement allowances payable to certain former public employees. This communication was referred to the Town Treasurer. MASS. STATE. POLTCE ACAD~IT: John Lanni, Patrolmen A letter was received by Chief Lawlor from the Mass. State Police Academy ~herein Patrolman: John Launt had r'ecetved excellent marks during October 10th to NOvember ath whil$ attending said Academy; Officer Lanni was come, ended for his fine record. C2R OIL CGMPANY: A letter was received from Oyr Oil Compeny stating that effective December l?, 1960, the price of fuel has'been increased .0090 per g~llon. Upon motion of Mr. Finnaren, seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe, end voted unanimously, the meeting adjourned. . December 29, 1960 At 1:00 p.m. this date the Board ~f Selectmen declared a State of Emergency.
