LAND COURT:
A citation was received by Chairman Finneraz re confirmation of titles of land in North

NO HUNTING SI~S:
Chairman Finneran also announced that according to Chief of Police, Joseph W. Lawlor, signs
stating,.. '~o Discharging firearms of explosives without permission of o~ner." will be dis-
played in heavily wooded but residential areas throughout North Andover to prevent possible
injury to children of said areas.
BRIDGE RAZARD:
Selectman Fred P. Oakes, Chief Lawlor and Walter Stamp. will meet and investigate a report tha~
~.$'~,~ left from a former bridge going over Shawaheen River had become dangerous in that
High School students were ttghtroping over it to cross the river. A sign will be placed there
in war, lng subject to To~n-Counsel's approval, and the b~m~f removed.
SCHOOL PROJECT LOAN:
Voted unanimously that the sale of the $1,390,000 2.90 per cent School Project Loan, Act of
1948 bonds of the 'to~n, Dated November 1, 1962, .payable November 1, $70,000. in ~63 to 1980
and. $65,000. in 1981 and 1982 to B. J, Van Ingen & Co. Inc. and Hartford National Band & Trust

Selectmen Raymond Broadhead, Fred P. Oaken and Chairman Finneran presiding.

~ Co~zmmication from To~n Counsel to the Board stated that three men must be retired

Notice was received by the Board that street lights had been installed at the following loca-
tions: Fcrest Street, Park Street, ~lmcreet Road, Chickering Road, co~.of Wesley and Innls
Streets, near Pendak Residence on ~ickering Road, Pleasant Steeet;~ardem Street and Winter
Street. The Board aisc-voted to accept street light ' recommendations and requested installa-
tion of'sane on 55 Dana Street, Water Street, Clarendon Street and Bixby Avenue.

The Board voted to send a letter of appreciation and regret .to Rev. Forrest S. Danabue, S.J. ·

NASSACHUSETTS DEPT. ~ PUBLIC WORES: Pedestrian Law.
A communicattom on the new pedestrian law was received by the Board and referred to police
chief, J. Lawlor, ~ho had previously attand~d a meeting on the matter'.

The Board was invited to attend installation ceremonies of the American Legion Post 219; all
three Selectmen attended. Selectme~ Fred P. 0akes and Raymond Broadheed will attend a .fly-up
ceremony of a Campfire girl scout group. Selectmen Oakes will be a Judge at a children.e
Halloween party sponsored by the Kittredge P.T.A.
